Advisory and wealth firms
Get more out of your CRM, your planning software and everything else you pay for.
An advisory firm runs a lot of systems: the CRM, planning and portfolio software, the custodian's site, texting, e-signature, a client portal. Most of them do more now than when you set them up, and many are adding AI.
We go through all of them and tell you what to switch on, which off-the-shelf tools are worth adding, where AI helps, and what to leave alone.
What the audit looks at
- What you already pay for. Your CRM, planning and portfolio software, custodian tools, texting, scheduling and document storage. The features nobody set up, what they'd change about a week in your office, and what's on the plan above yours.
- Where the same work gets done twice. Details typed into two systems because they don't talk, and the spreadsheet or sticky note doing a real system's job.
- The systems around the edges. Account aggregation, the client portal, e-signature, fee billing, compliance software, your website and newsletter, and who fixes the computers.
- AI, as it stands today. The AI inside what you already pay for, which chatbots and note-takers people are using on their own and with what information, and whether anything is written down about it.
Why an outsider, and why a paid one
You already have three places to get advice, and each one stops somewhere.
- Your custodian runs education. It's good, and it's free. It's also general, and it stops short of your specific systems on your specific plans.
- Your software vendors have opinions. They're also selling the modules. That doesn't make them wrong. It does give them a stake in the answer.
- Your compliance consultant covers the rules. They'll tell you whether something is allowed. They aren't the person who watches how a review actually gets done and notices three people retyping the same numbers.
We're paid a fixed fee for the audit, and it isn't credited against anything that comes after. That's why the answer can be that you should spend nothing.
The audit is run by Jason Markham: twenty-five years in manufacturing, a decade of it owning and running his own company, and now a software company that implements AI and automates back office work. More about Jason
We never ask for client records. The session is a screen share and nothing leaves your firm. That's deliberate. It keeps your due diligence on us short and easy, though if you're with a broker-dealer, its compliance team may still want to approve us first.
What it costs
A working session, a follow-up session once we've done the research, the written report, and a final review session to walk through it.
If you want help setting up what the audit recommends, we do it on a monthly retainer, billed on the time it takes, for as long as the setup runs. It ends when your staff can run things themselves. You don't need it to buy the audit.
The audit is a fixed price, with no hourly billing.
The audit isn't legal or compliance advice, and it doesn't replace your compliance consultant.
