About
You deserve a straight answer about your firm's technology.
Practice Tech Group audits the technology at advisory and law firms, including the AI your vendors keep adding, and tells you what to switch on, what to buy, and what to leave alone. If you want help putting it in place, we do that too.
Why this exists
Every vendor you pay keeps adding features, AI most of all, and each one says its version is the one to use. Nobody at your firm has the time to sort it out, and most people offering to help want to sell you something. So features often stay switched off, the same details get typed into two or three systems, and it's hard to tell whether you're behind or just being sold to.
We started Practice Tech Group to give firms an answer from someone with nothing to gain from it.
Who you'll work with
I'm Jason Markham. I've spent twenty-five years in manufacturing, a decade of it owning and running my own company, and I now run a software company that implements AI and automates back office work. I've been the owner deciding what technology is worth paying for, and I build the systems that do the work, so I can tell you which is which in your firm.
What makes this different
- A fixed fee for an honest answer. The audit costs the same whether the answer is to buy, build, switch something on, or do nothing, and it isn't credited against later work. The recommendation never depends on what you do next.
- We build, so we know what's real. When something is worth building, you get a rough cost to compare against doing nothing. When it isn't, you hear that too.
- Nothing leaves your office. The audit is a screen share. No client files, no logins, no exports.
See how we work before you call
Our guides are written the way the audit is: named products, the published price where there is one, and the date we checked it. Start with which advisory platforms ship AI, which practice management systems ship AI, or the AI already in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
How it works
- A free 30-minute call. Tell us how work moves through your firm, and you'll know by the end whether an audit is worth doing.
- The audit. A working session watching how your firm works, a follow-up once we've done the research, then a written report and a final session to walk through it.
- Help putting it in place, if you want it. An optional monthly retainer for as long as the setup takes. You don't need it to buy the audit.
